SiteStudio: Fall 2016
Fabric of Our Community Project
For our Fall 2016 session, we worked with 3rd grade students from César E. Chávez Elementary School and Southwest Community Campus to design fabric pieces that reflected on our community. They brainstormed different symbols that represent their community, and used resist dyeing methods with food coloring to add color to their fabric pieces.
The fabric pieces were pinned together to create a larger work to symbolize the connection we have within our community.
We would like to thank our volunteers!
